What We Do
FoodService Sustainability Solutions (FSS) - Reduce it Before you Haul and Recycle it!
FSS is a technology firm that specializes in manufacturing equipment that reduces the volume of so-called waste by 80% to 95% on-site. Our equipment is Made in the USA in Marietta, GA and is used in K12 Schools across the U.S. to:
1) Increase Recycling of Food Waste or Foam Lunch Trays
2) Significantly Lower Cost of Waste Disposal
Food Waste Diversion mandates are on the rise and so are polystyrene foam bans. We offer a modern solution to food waste diversion that takes the Ick Factor out of diverting the organics into a Beneficial Re-use Life Cycle.
With foam lunch trays, our Turn-Key Program enables one to reduce 1800 foam lunch trays that are in 5-ft tall stacks, down to 4-inch tall paver-like blocks that are 16"x22". Then, we arrange collection for the Last Mile and recycle the densified foam blocks in one of several ways to either turn the material into pellets to make new foam or plastic or through pyrolysis. The segments we serve federal prisons (BOP), universities, restaurants, up-cyclers and other specialty channels. Two short video clips worth taking a look at to see how we capture and recycle materials.
